Organisation Background:
Institute is involved in training and consulting for Small & Medium Scale
Industries in the areas of Finance, Operational Excellence, Human Resources Management
and Business Excellence. The Institute is headquartered in Bangalore and is well-known
amongst manufacturing industries for the last 29 years.
Candidate Profile:
Preferred Age: 28-35 years
Salary- 5 LPA.
Total years of experience in sales: minimum 2-3 years experience in sales of B2B in
Manufacturing industries(preferably in sales of capital goods and automotive industries).
Experience in selling to Senior leadership teams is an added advantage.
Education: A Graduate or Post Graduate Degree
Computer Skills: Must have knowledge of MS office, and the ability to use internet tools for
customer acquisition and management
Language Skills: Proficient in spoken and written English.
Role of the Territory Manager/Area Sales Manager
The primary purpose of the position is to ensure enrollment of organizations into the
programmes of the Institute.
This involves meeting the CEO’s/Directors of organizations based in Bangalore to create
awareness about the programmes of the Institute, understand the CEO’s/Directors’ challenges
and recommend suitable solutions.
Location: Bangalore
Reports to: Executive Director
Direct Reports: Nil
Travel Involved: Regular Travel to meet potential and existing customers. This will mean
extensive travel within the city.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Enrolment of organisations into the programmes of the Institute
2. Ensure appropriate footfalls into the marketing events of the Institute
3. Increase the quantity and quality of the database of customers
4. Co-ordinate activities as and when required
5. Present herself/ himself to make a positive influence on the reputation of the company
6. Operate to the credit policy. Be fully accountable for collections
7. Make regular visits as defined in a weekly action plan to:
a. Existing key customers to maintain customer relationship.
b. Extract more business from existing customers. Ensure repeat orders.
c. Revisit all lapsed customers, try and revive.
d. Prospect for new customers.
8. Adhere completely to company practices on the sales process
Competencies
1. Must communicate well in English
2. Good understanding of sales process, prospecting and solution-based selling.
3. Ability to operate independently and with senior management at the customer interface.
4. Ability to uncover customer need and offer suitable solutions.
5. Process-oriented.
6. Numerate and good in terms of analysis of sales data
7. Very clear written and spoken communication skills.
Compensation and Benefits:
Salary as agreed at the recruitment stage.
Performance-based incentive paid quarterly against the target as per company policy.
