Reporting to
the Factory Manager for all the
matters relating to the daily activities of the company. |

Set plant
performance targets, cost targets and budgets |
|
3 |
Primary goal is
to ensure production of the required quantities of goods in required time and
secondary goal is to keep the costs down and to improve production methods,
i.e. to find better and more economical ways of accomplishing the primary
goal. |
|
4 |
Control costs
by optimum utilization of resources, adequate inventory control, adherence to
Budgeted norms and implementation of financial procedures and norms. |
|
5 |
Liaison with
government authorities & local bodies for statutory compliance and manage
the external environment for smooth operation of the Main Plant and Ancillary
Units |
|
6 |
Implement and
adhere to quality norms in various process flow both in Main Plant and
Ancillary Units to deliver consistent and visible quality. |
|
7 |
Implement Asset
Care Programs for plant upkeep and achievement of operational efficiencies
and key plant performance measures.
Implement and monitor logistics of materials both in bond and out bond
for cost competitiveness, safety, economy and wastage |
|
8 |
Ensure
resolving consumer complaints within specified time frame |
|
9 |
Ensure that any
confidential information or materials are in safe custody and that such items
are not divulged to any unauthorized persons |
People
Management:
|
1 |
Set annual
performance goals for team, monitor performance and provide constructive
feedback to improve performance. |
|
2 |
Identify
training and development needs of team and ensure their fulfillment through
co-ordination with concerned departments heads |
|
3 |
Monitor
adherence to company policies and code of conduct |
|
4 |
Motivate people
at work to believe in themselves, enable them to become positive-minded and
thereby assign them to achieve the impossible |
Key Interactions:
(a) Internal
|
1 |
Interact with
the concerned departments to achieve production and dispatch targets, improve
productivity, quality and overall operational efficiency |
|
2 |
Interact to
develop a production plan based on the demand forecast from Marketing
Department including adjusting the production plan in case of changing
forecast |
|
3 |
Co-ordinate
with the Materials Department for material planning timely procurement of
material to meet production targets |
|
4 |
Interact for
implementation of HR and IR policies and processes at the factory, management
of employee relations, compliance to statutory requirements. Seek assistance on development of employee
capability and recruitment at factory |
|
5 |
Establish
rapport with staff and workers by prompt action in resolving grievances,
disputes, in discipline in co-ordination with the Personal Department. |
|
6 |
Interact
to issues and concerns with the workmen as and when required. |
|
7 |
Select /
approve vendors / work orders / contracts as per company procedures |
|
8 |
Nominate
functional personnel for training programs |
(b) External:
|
1 |
Build favourable
relationships with Government,
Statutory and local authorities to ensure compliance |
|
2 |
Respond to
inquires / complaints in an efficient and timely manner to project a
favourable image of the company |
|
3 |
Represent the company on various forums and in legal matters as and when required |
|
4 |
Support timely
completion of audits as per the statutory requirements to the Auditors
concerned. |

1 |
You should be
conversant with our Company Standing Orders, Labour Laws such as Apprentice
Act, Contract Labour Act, EPF & MP Act, ESIC Act, Employment Exchanges
Act, Industrial Dispute Act, Payment of wages Act, Gratuity, Factory’s Act,
Minimum Wages Act, Payment of Wages Act, Trade Union Act etc., in
co-ordination with the Personal Department. |

Decide on HR /
IR issues (like recruitment, training,
deployment, performance management, disciplinary actions, etc., ) in
consultation with your superiors. |

6 |
To appraise all
your employees as per the company procedure and recommend increments,
promotions etc. |
|
7 |
Recommend /
Approve leave of your staff / workers. Regulating
leave schedules and reducing absenteeism and overtime |
(e) Financial
Management:
|
1 |
Monitoring
daily imprest cash and bank accounts |
|
2 |
Approve
expenses as per the budgets |
|
3 |
Forward /
Approve expenses incurred by team/individual on petty expenses, medical,
travel etc., as per company policy |
Organizational the strategic requirement of the preparedness of Process and Production:
|
1 |
Efficient
process flow designing, logistics of in bond and out bond goods and
implementation to reduce costs, increase productivity, reduce fatigue and
improve quality. |
|
2 |
Value analysis
and value designing in the product and process for efficiency cost control
and effective utilization of material. |
|
3 |
Co-ordination
with R&D for continuous improvements and innovations. |
|
4 |
Support timely
completion of audits as per the statutory requirements to the Auditors
concerned. |
